The development of the Gablonzer Industrie technique started in Czech Republic around 1550; during this time, the first glass manufacturers and grinding shops appeared. Its heavily embellished nature translated perfectly to decorative articles, from fashion jewellery to the tree decoration you see here. Sourced from the 1930s, its ornate form is dipped in jewels, beads and an abundance of festive cheer. Please note, this item is incredibly fragile and may show signs of wear consistent with its age.
